1. Introduction

Zeranda ("we," "our," or "us") is an AI-powered personal assistant that helps you manage your email, calendar, bills, subscriptions, and packages. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our service.

By signing in with Google and using Zeranda, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Email Provider Account Data

When you sign in with a supported email provider, such as Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We also request access to the following provider services:

• Email (read & send): We read your emails to identify bills, subscriptions, package tracking information, and actionable tasks. We may send replies when you explicitly ask us to.
• Calendar: We read and write calendar events to display your schedule, create reminders, and help manage your time.

2.2 Derived Data

Using AI, we analyze the content of your emails and calendar events to extract structured information such as bill amounts and due dates, subscription names and renewal dates, package tracking numbers and delivery estimates, and task action items. This derived data is stored in our database to power the Zeranda dashboard.

2.3 Usage Data

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to provide the Zeranda service, including:

• Displaying your bills, subscriptions, packages, and tasks on your dashboard
• Generating your daily AI briefing and priority inbox
• Creating and managing calendar events and reminders
• Answering questions through the AI chat assistant
• Sending you notifications about important upcoming events or deadlines

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or Google user data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Google User Data — Limited Use Disclosure

Zeranda's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, we only use Google user data to:

• Provide and improve the Zeranda service you requested
• Perform operations required by the service (e.g., scanning emails for bills)

We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, transfer data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, or allow humans to read your data unless you have given explicit permission or it is required for security purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a managed database platform with industry-standard security controls. OAuth tokens required to access Google APIs on your behalf are stored securely and are never exposed publicly.

Access to your data is restricted to the authenticated user only. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@zeranda.app. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data and revoke all provider API access tokens within 30 days.

You may also revoke Zeranda's access to your connected provider account at any time, including through your Google Account permissions page or your Microsoft account app permissions.

7. Third-Party Services

Zeranda uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI model used to analyze email content and generate briefings
• Vercel — hosting and deployment platform

Each of these services processes only the data necessary for their function and is bound by their own privacy policies.

8. Children's Privacy

Zeranda is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Zeranda after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
